I was given the 1.2 version but when I go to install it does nothing. Does 1.3 work? I am using 32 bit Vista if that matters. I tried running as admin but no go. |

SFF 1.4 is now available. Version 1.4 cleans up the UI a bit by using tabs for cars. tracks, setups, and mods/addons (new). This allows us more space for notes and the inclusion of file sizes. |

Awesome Rob!!!
I liked it before but 1.4 is everything we should ever need. The tabs were a great idea.
Thanks for all your hard work man. It is truly appreciated. |

I uploaded Sim File Fetcher version 1.5 tonight. You should be notified that an upgrade is available the next time you use the program. Changes were fairly minor:
- Fixed notes for tracks (was not showing notes)
- Right-click menu now available to mark items as current or download selected items
- Resized for use on servers and made it less likely for the lists to be hidden when Alt-Tabbing |

For Windows Vista users,
I got it to work!
What you have to do is, go to control panel>user accounts. Turn the user control accounts off. Restart system, run the sff or gtrl.bat, then after getting everything you need turn it back on. After you run the gtrl.bat for the rfm file, you can turn it back on and be just fine. However if you want to run on an open server you will have to follow the steps above to set it back to the original ARCA rfm. Its a pain in the butt but it works |

Thanks to everyone at GTRL and FPR for using Sim File Fetcher (SFF) and offering suggestions to make it better. It seems reliable at this point, so I've made it a public, free release for the Sim community at large:

Anyone having trouble with the latest version (1.5.3)?
Tony, you noted that you went back to the previous version? Did it upgrade to 1.5.3 before you downloaded any car files? What were the problematic symptoms?
Thanks for the feedback, guys. This simple tool saves us a ton of time, so I want to make sure it's working for everyone. |
